Daily Royal White

182 Reviews

This signature honey is made by honeybees that hive at the coast, by the waters of Sumbawa Island in Indonesia. This rare, highly sought-after, white honey is creamier than many others and has a floral flavour that is delightfully fresh, not overly sweet and has an almost-unnoticeable tinge of sourness.

Expiry No expiry date for raw honey

Raw honey does not expire because it has low water content, high sugar concentration, and a naturally acidic pH, making it unsuitable for bacteria and microorganisms. Additionally, honey contains enzymes that prevent spoilage. These factors allow honey to remain safe and consumable indefinitely when stored properly.

For honey with an expiry date, it is due to compliance with food manufacturing regulations.

FAQs

Raw Honey

Is it safe for pregnant women to consume honey?

Yes, it is generally safe for pregnant women to consume honey. Healthy adults, including pregnant women, have fully developed immune and digestive systems that can neutralize any potential bacteria or spores. Honey contains essential vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants that support both the mother’s and the developing baby’s health.

We recommend Royal White Honey because it is rich in folic acid, which aids in healthy fetal development during pregnancy.

Why is infant below 1 years old is not allowed to consume honey? And why pregnant women can?

Infants under one year should not consume raw honey due to the risk of infant botulism. This is because their digestive systems are not yet developed enough to fight off potential bacteria and spores, making them more vulnerable compared to older children.

Pregnant women, however, have fully developed immune systems, making honey safe for them.

Can honey regulate blood pressure?

While honey contains natural sugars, studies suggest that honey may have a gentler effect on blood sugar levels compared to refined sugars. Especially those concerned about diabetes, should consume honey in moderation, but when used as a sweetener, it could help avoid the blood sugar spikes associated with more processed sugars.

We recommend Royal Black for customer that concern about their blood pressure.

Can diabetes patient consume honey?

Honey has a lower glycemic index (GI) compared to table sugar, meaning it may cause a slower rise in blood sugar levels. However, honey is still a simple sugar, consisting of glucose and fructose, which can raise blood sugar levels.

Therefore, it’s crucial for diabetics to monitor their blood sugar closely if they choose to include honey in their diet. Moderation is key, and it should not be consumed excessively.

Does the presence of ants mean the honey is fake?

No, the presence of ants does not indicate that honey is fake. Ants are attracted to the high sugar content in honey, which consists primarily of glucose and fructose, regardless of whether the honey is natural or processed. Even raw, unprocessed honey contains these sugars, making it equally appealing to ants. Therefore, the attraction of ants is not a reliable indicator of the authenticity or purity of the honey.

Why would honey crystallize?

The crystallization of raw honey is a natural and reversible process, indicating its purity and natural state. This occurs due to the glucose content forming crystals.

You can easily restore crystallized honey to its smooth, liquid consistency by gently warming it in a water bath, without compromising its nutritional content. Refer to this post for more info.
